House Speaker by the thinnest margins, Mike Johnson took a moment to explain Christianity to the Pope. Suggesting that while Pope Francis might frown on war, there’s always the handy “just war” doctrine for when the teachings of Jesus become a little inconvenient.
When your argument relies on convincing the Pope that Jesus was good with the warring on one another, you are probably losing that argument.



Even if there were a "just war" doctrine, it's not clear that attacking another country without giving a reason you can stick to would qualify.
And how does he manage to call this military “adventure” a “just war?”
