Watch a giant snowman being built in China
Harbin, in northeastern China, hosts one of the world’s largest ice and snow festivals each winter. The centerpiece is this guy: a 19-meter snowman (about six stories tall) built from 3,500 cubic meters of snow.
It took 64 sculptors and over 100 construction workers 11 days to complete. The snowman returns every year with the same design — red hat, red scarf, heart-shaped buttons — like a massive seasonal mascot.
The timelapse of the build is mesmerizing.
