Trump’s energy plan: nationalize Walmart’s generators and pray

These free-market crusaders are now raiding the break room behind your local Supercenter for grid stability. Yes, Team Trump effectively proposes socializing private corporate infrastructure in the name of emergency energy production while screaming about the ills of socialism.
Wright also floated an unusual idea to address short-term electricity supply needs, telling Baier that the government could activate backup generators located at data centers and even “behind the back of a Walmart” to increase power production.
Chris Wright: “We will take backup generators already at data centers or behind the back of a Walmart and bring those on when we need extra electricity production.”
He suggested those private-sector generators, typically installed for emergency use, could be tapped when the grid requires supplemental electricity. Wright did not outline how such a program would work or whether companies have agreed to participate.
Chris Wright casually told Fox News that the administration might fire up backup generators at data centers and retail warehouses when the grid gets shaky. No word on whether they asked Walmart, or if the plan includes free rollback prices on kilowatts. It’s a bold move from an administration that claims socialism will take all the guns, trucks, and imagined prosperity away.
