Trump may be ready to claim he doesn't know Pete Hegseth
Sources say Hegseth's job is in danger as the Iran war drags on and the Strait of Hormuz stays closed with gas near $4 a gallon.
The undeclared war with Iran is dragging on as the United States is running out of munitions, and the Orange Menace may have found his scapegoat. Rumors are that Diaper Don is gonna toss Whiskey Pete under the bus.
Multiple unnamed sources have told the South China Morning Post that Hegseth's job is in danger. Assume the pattern will be familiar: first, Trump will barely know Pete; then he will forget ever having met the Fox Nation host, and finally, Donnie will blame Joe Biden for hiring Hegseth in the first place.
Donald Trump is apparently eyeing Hegseth as a scapegoat for his administration's failure to resolve the Iran war, which is quickly becoming a quagmire. Trump is reportedly furious that there hasn't been a "solid breakthrough" on the war, with the Strait of Hormuz remaining closed to shipping traffic and oil prices continuing to keep gas prices at roughly $4 a gallon on average.
Hegseth has also been blamed for the conditions on board the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln, where increasingly desperate crew members have reportedly tried to jump overboard due to persistent food shortages and an unsanitary environment after nine straight months at sea. It's also been recently reported that a U.S. Navy destroyer lost power for four straight days in the South China sea, leaving sailors stranded with no working toilets or air conditioning.
Frankly, I am surprised Hegseth has lasted this long. Only past experience with the Trump Administration keeps me from saying Hegseth is the worst person they could have possibly picked for the job. It is always amazing how they can find someone more awful than the last.
Had we just listened to his ex-wife, his mother, his former sister-in-law, the 10 Fox employees who raised concerns about his drinking, or any of the myriad other colleagues from veterans' organizations, our servicepeople would be far better off.
The Iran war will, inconveniently, still be there after the bus leaves.

Maybe Mike Lindell will get a condolence appointment after his loss in the primaries. It could be argued that he knows less about running the military than Hegseth.
The felon listened to those people. That's part of why he picked the guy.
