Todd Blanche tells Epstein survivors to “get to the point”
Blanche delivered the lowest common denominator of "a meeting."
Blanche needed to hold a meeting with a group Epstein survivors to get past the Senate. It sounds less like he met with them, and more like he was a belligerent jerk for 30 minutes.
Epstein survivors waited months for a meeting with Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. According to Dani Bensky, once they got it, Blanche told them to “get to the point” and asked what they were getting at. They were asking for investigations and accountability—the same point they had been making publicly and to federal authorities for years.
“He was very condescending, it was a lot of talking in circles, a lot of arguing semantics,” she said. “A lot of getting to the core points that we needed answers to.”
Bensky left the meeting feeling unheard.
“Basically we walked away with no answers and it felt like a no-win situation,” she said.
When reporters pressed for details of Blanche being “condescending,” she provided them.
“He actually said the words ‘get to the point’ to us,” she said.
“We’re survivors who have been waiting to meet with him for nine months, eight months…. He very much said, ‘Can you get to the point already? What are you getting at?’”
The meeting lasted about half an hour. Survivors said Blanche directed them back to the FBI, an institution some of them have approached repeatedly for decades. Bensky later said he impatiently asked them to “get to the point.” Blanche completed the meeting he needed; the survivors got no commitment to investigate.
Blanche left with a completed meeting. The survivors left with no answers.
and just think, whether blanche will receive a vote for ~confirmation depends on whether senators john cornyn (Texas) or thom tillis (North Carolina) have just et a undigested bit of beef, a blot of mustard, a crumb of cheese, a fragment of underdone potato. @#$!
At least Blanche is consistently the tool of his criminal boss.
