The world’s most advanced aircraft carrier taken down by… a dryer vent fire
If the boat isn't awash in sewage, it is a burning dumpster fire.
A fire that started in a dryer vent aboard the plagued USS Gerald R. Ford burned for more than 30 hours. Over 600 sailors are now sleeping on floors and tables as the ship grinds through an extended, nearly year-long deployment.
The Navy’s newest and most advanced $13 billion supercarrier, currently waging war in Iran, remains operational, even as crew members now deal with smoke inhalation, on top of already malfunctioning plumbing. If the boat isn’t awash in sewage, it is a burning dumpster fire.
It took more than 30 hours for sailors to put out the fire aboard the aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford last week, sailors and military officials said, as the beleaguered ship continued its monthslong slog through President Trump’s military operations.
The fire started in the ship’s main laundry area last Thursday. By the time it was over, more than 600 sailors and crew members had lost their beds and have since been bunking down on floors and tables, officials said.
…
The Navy did not respond to a request for comment. Central Command said in its statement that the fire caused “no damage to the ship’s propulsion plant, and the aircraft carrier remains fully operational.”
The fire was only the latest in a series of maintenance problems on the Ford, the Navy’s newest aircraft carrier. It has had plumbing issues with the 650 toilets on board. NPR reported that the undersized and poorly designed toilet system frequently breaks down.
The most powerful war machine on Earth can project force across the globe, launch jets around the clock, and sustain a modern war effort.
But it still can’t beat a clogged dryer vent.

This is nonsense. Bring those sailors home, or give them working equipment. Don't make them suffer the corruption & incompetence of this administration & its cronies.
Better yet, call the whole war off.
"If the boat isn’t awash in sewage, it is a burning dumpster fire."
Replace "boat" with "whole administration"
