My go-to assumption whenever I hear about transactions like this is that what we are seeing is some kind of money laundering.
I wonder how many hungry and/or homeless people could benefit from $16.5 million? Or, at least, if he has that kind of money, he should do both and still have his Pokemon card. Sigh.
