Some tips to stay frosty, or at least chill, in ARC Raiders
ARC Raiders is an incredibly fun PVPVE extraction shooter where you after looting and crafting gear you love, you will lose it. This video has a pretty good set of tips to not lose your mind, when you lose your sh**.
I am a big fan of “if they don’t answer a friendly call out, shoot first and worry never.” The tip about letting the person who brought the key have the gun box is a good one, but my experience is that whoever the raider is, who knows where the gun box is tends to get there first. The most important thing to remember, no matter what, is that it is a video game and you will just find or craft more of the same loot. Nothing is precious or irreplaceable.
I do enjoy lecturing a rat who lies about being friendly, however. They are the worst but you need to expect them as well. When folks ask me to team up, and I am not purely hunting ARC or doing something that requires a low-value loadout, I say no. It is one thing to help another raider out of a bind, but I quickly grew tired of getting shot in the back.
I have had as many wonderful experiences where folks revive me, or stabilize and escort me to extract, as I have jerks who lie and backstab. ARC Raiders is an exciting social experiment, and it is fun to see if you can remain a friendly, helpful raider while learning to always keep one eye out for a traitor. The number of times my buddy has said, “I think we are being set up,” and I still stumble right into it is sad.
Excellent raid, gentlemen. Excellent raid.
