Silent Hill studio drops cryptic countdown for next game
The folks at Polish survival horror studio Bloober Team have been busy lately. In just the past couple of years, they’ve released a very good (if bloated) remake of genre classic and game-as-art Silent Hill 2, a less-great original project in Cronos: The New Dawn, teed up another Silent Hill remake, and are now teasing an all-new project. Where do they find the time?
Ever since that spooky desert monolith teasing Divinity, mystery seems to be gaming marketing’s word of the day. Instead of a trailer, all we’ve got is a mysterious URL and a slogan: “Dare to peek into the darkness.” Peek into the darkness, and what you get is a timer over a shifting background that’s really not all that dark.
Provided the countdown is accurate, the reveal trailer — or actual teaser, merch drop, or whatever it is—should be unveiled February 15th. Either it’ll be a teaser for that Silent Hill 1 remake (unlikely), or we’ll all go home disappointed (much more likely).
