Reading Rainbow’s theme song gets magical makeover from rising star Bukola

As we reported in September, “Reading Rainbow” has a wonderful new host, Mychal Threets, a former Solano County librarian and bookworm who grew up watching the beloved children’s show with LeVar Burton as host. The show premiered again with Threets on October 4, 2025, after a twenty-year hiatus, and it’s also rebooted its iconic theme song.
