Police baffled by driver’s disappearing act

The law may have a long arm, but its cognitive awareness is not always what one might hope.

This driver, attempting to evade police, apparently did evade the police. While driving their car under a freeway overpass, the escape artist abandoned it and left it in gear. Forced to stop the vehicular hazard, and having lost sight of the accused, law enforcement failed to apprehend the offender.
