New York bill would ban chatbots from answering medical questions
A tenant facing eviction at 11 p.m. asks a chatbot, “Can my landlord do this?” A parent types, “What does this rash look like?” Under a bill moving through the New York Senate, both of those interactions could make the chatbot’s operator liable for practicing without a license.
