Nancy Mace exposed taking credit for a bill she opposed
Community notes on social media expose bathroom policeperson Rep. Nancy Mace’s tantrum-throwing, duplicitous lies as she claims to have secured funding she vehemently opposed.
Her social media graphic touted the investment as a direct result of her efforts, framing the project as a major economic victory for the state.
However, a Community Note quickly pointed out a key omission: Mace voted against the bipartisan 2021 infrastructure law that created the grant program she is now taking credit for. At the time, the now gubernatorial candidate attacked the legislation as a “socialist wish list” and a “fiasco.”
Mace is now running for governor of South Carolina, which seems like a pipe dream, but red states do not exactly exercise logic. Perhaps the voters will be duped by these obvious lies, or so enjoy her attempts to regulate who can use which bathroom that she gets the job.
