More analysis of Tesla’s Cybertruck fiasco
The Cybertruck is an unmitigated disaster. Poor production quality, unmet promises, and a buffoon CEO alienating his customer base all contribute to the problem, but wait… there’s more. This video takes a look at the financial chicanery and the parking lots full of unsold inventory to understand what is going on.
The mere 16,000 Cybertrucks sold in 2025 is shocking, given the scale of Tesla’s failure to sell the thing the recent “confidence” the company displayed in Musk seems completely off. Completely off until you understand that they knew he’d never achieve the targets necessary to pay out the $1 trillion package his ego insisted on. The Cybertruck is a reflection of its creator’s soul.

This disaster of a product would have gotten any executive or executive team at any reasonable company canned, not granted insane compensation packages. But Musk has wrested so much control from the board that he can only fail up.
I think the “look at me, bro” market has been fully saturated. There are no more potential buyers because 10 year old boys are not allowed to drive.
