Why does "tax reform" never mean that the wealthier taxpayers have to get along with fewer millions?

Remember when the republicans use the code word “entitlement “ they are talking about payroll deductions that you and I have been paying for our whole working lives. It’s not an entitlement, it’s a forced savings plan so you and I won’t be completely destitute in our old age. They want to steal your savings.

How is Social Security an “entitlement program“ if Americans have been paying into it their entire working lives? Social Security existed way before Medicare and Medicaid.

MAGA Mike - and the rest of his cronies - can all look forward to a very generous taxpayer funded pension when they retire. Somehow the perks for being a politician are never on the chopping block when cuts need to be made.

# It is a funding gap lawmakers can close, depending on whether they want retirees or rich people to feel the pinch.

It doesn't take much to figure out which outcome which party prefers, and is why those who claim there is no difference between the parties just sound *dumb*.

Doing away with, or privatizing Social Security has been a wet dream of the GOP for *decades*.
