Trump’s Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick appears to think he’s clearing something up. Instead, he’s doing the opposite.
This is an oddly specific non-defense. Not “I was never there,” not “I had no relationship,” but a carefully itemized assurance that, despite being on Jeffrey Epstein’s island, on vacation, with his wife, children, and nannies, Lutnick is certain he left with the same number of kids he arrived with.
The cabinet member doesn’t deny being on the island. He doesn’t deny socializing with Epstein. He doesn’t deny bringing his family into that space. Lutnick just wants you to know that, after an hour, he departed with all four children accounted for.
This is simply not how innocent stories are told.

but left having 'sold' two "nannies"? #@$!
("do monsters become rich, or do the rich become monsters?" "well.. most often it's the children of rich monsters which remain rich monsters")
"At least the nannies told me they were all there. If one or two was left behind, I'd have no way of knowing. Now, what's this I hear about Jeffery being a bad guy? News to me, honestly."
