Leavitt claims killing a mother of three was necessary to stop a “larger, sinister left-wing movement”
This video clip opens White House press secretary, the Mouth of Moron, Karoline Leavitt’s latest briefing.
The administration has now offered justification after justification. Leavitt proudly and boldly claims the killing was necessary to stop what she described as a “larger, sinister left-wing movement.” The phrase does not explain what threat the woman posed while backing her car out of her driveway. It does, however, reveal how easily an individual death can be folded into an imagined enemy narrative.
Leavitt advances several dangerous claims at once: that ICE should be treated as ordinary law enforcement, that there exists a vague and shadowy “left-wing” plot against officers, and that shooting civilians can be justified if it is rhetorically attached to that fiction. Vice President JD Vance has already encouraged ICE agents to push their limits, while President Donald Trump has offered demonstrably false stories about the danger those agents supposedly faced.
Together, the message is unmistakable. The administration will invent threats, rewrite facts, and excuse killings to keep its campaign of terror intact. And their most fervent supporters appear eager to accept any story that sanctifies violence and distracts from the rest of the grift.

Harmlessly passing your time in the grassland away
Only dimly aware of a certain unease in the air
You better watch out
There may be dogs about
I've looked over Jordan, I have seen
Things are not what they seem
What do you get for pretending the danger's not real?
Meek and obedient, you follow the leader
Down well trodden corridors, into the valley of steel
What a surprise!
A look of terminal shock in your eyes
Now things are really what they seem
No, this is not a bad dream
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want
He makes me down to lie
Through pastures green He leadeth me the silent waters by
With bright knives He releaseth my soul
He maketh me to hang on hooks in high places
He converteth me to lamb cutlets
For lo, He hath great power, and great hunger
When cometh the day we lowly ones
Through quiet reflection and great dedication master the art of karate
Lo, we shall rise up and then we'll make the bugger's eyes water
Bleating and babbling we fell on his neck with a scream
Yeah, ha-ha-ha
Wave upon wave of demented avengers
March cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream
Have you heard the news?
The dogs are dead
You better stay home and do as you're told
Get out of the road if you wanna grow old
