LA’s Tesla road rager gets 7 years after taking his act to Hawaii
The baffling part isn’t that he did it again; it’s that he was in a position to.
Nathaniel Radimak, the notorious Los Angeles Tesla road-rage attacker whose violent confrontations became viral shorthand for “how is this guy still on the road?”, has been sentenced to seven years in Hawaii after allegedly doing the exact same thing again while on parole.
“Based on the defendant’s presentence investigation, it is evident that the type of criminal conduct in this case was in no way a one-time aberration for the defendant. Time and time again, the defendant keeps engaging in similar conduct. The roads may change, but the defendant’s behavior does not, and will not change,” said Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, Hon-Lum Y. Cheung-Cheng.
Radimak originally pleaded not guilty to felony Unauthorized Entry into a Motor Vehicle and two counts of third-degree assault and changed his plea to no contest on Jan. 6.
Defense attorney, Rosa Flores, argued Radimak’s long history of undiagnosed schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder played a major role in his actions. In court documents, his attorney stated that the medication he was receiving prior to his arrest caused side effects that made him want to punch people.
At some point, “repeat offender” becomes less a description than an institutional admission.
