Kennedy Center already being defiled

It seems the Orange Menace was eagerly waiting to slap his name on The Kennedy Center. In a move so on-brand it may as well have come gift-wrapped in gold leaf, the Trump administration went ahead and started glomming the convicted felon’s name on the building one day after his handpicked board of cronies decided to change it despite federal law requiring an act of Congress to do exactly that.

President Donald Trump’s name is being affixed to the outside of the Kennedy Center just one day after its board—which he stacked with his allies—voted to add Dear Leader’s name to the cultural center. And they’re doing it in violation of federal law.

Democratic Sen. Andy Kim of New Jersey said in a post on X that if work was indeed taking place to “physically change the sign on the Kennedy Center,” then it “needs to stop as it’s illegal to change without Congress.”

Photos taken of the building on Friday clearly show Trump’s name being added.

The board that approved the renaming? Entirely handpicked by Trump after he fired anyone with a spine. The vote was called “unanimous,” although at least one member said they were muted and silenced. That didn’t stop construction crews from showing up just hours later to begin defacing a landmark built to honor President John F. Kennedy.
