Oliver clearly makes the point that "X" didn't get freer; it got worse.
“It is worse than you think,” says John Oliver about Elon Musk’s supercharged Nazi bar.
John Oliver took a flamethrower to Elon Musk’s Xitter this week, explaining what was once a flawed but functional platform has become a pay-to-play megaphone for the worst of the worst. Twitter's restoration of accounts seems to have been highly selective, with controversial right-wing accounts that had been banned for serious violations of the Twitter ToS getting restored, while ordinary accounts suspended for more anodyne reasons stayed banned.
"Free speech … but not for everyone," could be Musk's motto.
