JD Vance endorsement makes things worse for Orbán
That's okay, Hungary. We don't like Vance here in the United States either.
After JD Vance traveled to Budapest to boost Viktor Orbán, betting markets moved in the opposite direction, trimming the Hungarian leader’s chances just days before a closely watched election. Also entertaining is Vance accusing others of attempting to influence an election he traveled halfway across the world to interfere with.
The likelihood Viktor Orbán winning Hungary’s upcoming parliamentary election has dropped since U.S. Vice President JD Vance made a speech endorsing him, according to the latest betting odds.
Speaking at a press conference in Hungary‘s capital, Budapest, on Wednesday, Vance said he would help the incumbent prime minister in his election campaign and praised Orbán ahead of the April 12 poll.
Since then, betting markets show Orbán’s stock has fallen marginally, though there is no suggestion that his declining fortunes have been caused by Vance’s intervention.
There’s no proof the endorsement caused the dip, but when a campaign boost lands and the numbers go the wrong way, that’s not exactly the kind of momentum anyone was hoping to export.

Well, I would oppose pretty much anything Vance endorsed, just on the principle.
