Shady JD Vance is back at the chalkboard, displaying logic that only a MAGA can get their head around. This time, the couch enthusiast is insisting the housing crisis exists because millions of immigrants taking low-wage, menial jobs that citizens don’t want have somehow snatched up all the homes.
It is the latest entry in Vance’s math, which treats basic facts as optional while ignoring the landlords’ private equity firms and corporate buyers who have actually turned affordable housing into a profit machine, pricing out the very young people he claims to defend. Blaming anyone convenient while helping billionaires get richer is the whole scam.
Yep, they denied young americans the right to hot-bunk in firetrap rooms still under construction (that was reported of one contractor around here who employed undocumented workers). Just the way they denied young americans the right to work backbreaking jobs for less than minimum wage with negligible safety equipment. Totally on the undocumented workers, not on the people who employed or housed them. (And on the rest of us, for enjoying lower prices as a result)
