Ireland is introducing the Communications (Interception and Lawful Access) Bill to modernize its 1993 surveillance laws. The bill would let police intercept all forms of communication, including encrypted messages, deploy spyware with judicial approval, scan electronic devices, and use IMSI catchers to identify suspects,
