How fake E-Z Pass texts became a $1 billion criminal empire

Those fake E-Z Pass and UPS texts flooding your phone are part of a billion-dollar scam operation that Google is finally taking to court, reports Ars Technica. Google filed a lawsuit on Wednesday against what it calls a “cybercriminal group in China” that sells “phishing for dummies” kits branded as “Lighthouse.”
