Host panics as CPAC crowd cheers for Trump’s impeachment
Nothing rattles a scripted event like an unscripted crowd.
CPAC host Matt Schlapp tried to fire up the crowd by asking if they wanted impeachment hearings. He was surprised to receive an enthusiastic yes, forcing him to awkwardly correct the audience and ask again for a different answer.
“How many of you would like to see impeachment hearings?” Schlapp asked the massive crowd at the annual conservative event.
To Schlapp’s surprise, a wave of cheers erupted from the crowd.
“No,” Schlapp responded, shaking his head and smiling awkwardly. “That was the wrong answer. Let me try it again: how many of you would like to see impeachment hearings?”
Schlapp’s second attempt garnered a more mixed response, with some still cheering while others booed.
Schlapp again laughed off the unexpected response.
Nothing rattles a scripted event like an unscripted crowd. Sadly, it’s probably a sign of just how trained these seals have become; they’ll cheer for anything a MAGA says without thinking about what it is.
It's possible some of the dead-enders have recognized the felon as a liability. It's also possible that somehow they think Biden is still president...
