Grandpa Pudding Brains taking credit for the English language
The Orange Menace declared that he may have invented the word “caravan,” a claim so historically illiterate it threatens the entire concept of language as a shared human project rather than a Trump-branded intellectual property soon to be bankrupt.
At a recent event, convicted felon and real estate fraud Donald Trump confidently suggested that the word “caravan” basically didn’t exist until he started using it to describe migrants, as if English had been wandering the desert wordless until he showed up with a Big Mac and a Sharpie. Never mind that “caravan” has been in use for centuries, crossing languages, empires, and trade routes long before Trump or cable news.
The word “caravan” entered English in the 1500s from Persian via Arabic, Italian, and French. “Caravan” has been used for centuries to describe groups traveling together, particularly for trade. Donald Trump, nor his ego, played any part in this.

What were Top Gear blowing up all those years ago before Trump invented the world.
