A reporter aboard Air Force One asked Trump where an estimated $13 billion in Venezuelan oil revenue was going. He replied that the Venezuela war had “paid for itself.” Asked again, he said the money was “running the country.” When the reporter clarified that she meant the money taken in from Venezuela, Trump repeated the answer, then said it could go to the military with congressional approval.
The question was clarified. The answer was not.
