Grandpa Pudding Brains’ energy policy: go steal it for yourself!
Minus the bluster, and it’s a remarkably simple doctrine: if you want resources, go take them.
With gas prices rising and war expanding, the Orange Menace himself, Donald Trump, is urging allies to “just TAKE” control of the Strait of Hormuz. Effectively inviting piracy and telling them to go seize oil themselves.
In a post on social media early Tuesday, Mr. Trump called on other countries, such as the United Kingdom, to “go get your own oil” by taking control of the Strait of Hormuz.
“I have a suggestion for you: Number 1, buy from the U.S., we have plenty, and Number 2, build up some delayed courage, go to the Strait, and just TAKE IT. You’ll have to start learning how to fight for yourself, the U.S.A. won’t be there to help you anymore, just like you weren’t there for us,” Mr. Trump wrote.
Minus the bluster, and it’s a remarkably simple doctrine: if you want resources, go take them. When your approach to diplomacy is brokering influence through your son-in-law’s side hustle, the world is one bad decision away from glowing like a lava lamp.

This particular statement from my President is especially galling to me.
The only reason NATO wasn't there is because leading up to this self-declared war, President Trump was doing everything in his power to try to humiliate, denigrate and dismantle NATO.
My President wants to control the world. If he really was so convinced that NATO is a waste of time and resources he could have withdrawn the United States from the NATO alliance at any time during this term or during his 1st term, legally or not.
He wanted us so badly in his war he didn't even bother briefing NATO leaders that he was about to start it. Then whines endlessly that a defensive alliance isn't getting involved in a war of aggression.
