Damn that's a good person. i fear she might have to be brave as well once the suck-up rangers are sent after her. Has *any* media person confronted any trumpy sycophant with the whole Orwellian "The past was erased, the erasure was forgotten, the lie became the truth"? @#$!
This is going to sound bad maybe, but with the current administration actively working to disenfranchise voters, change how elections are run and basically speed-running the end of our republic, it feels as though getting people to care about this in a deep and meaningful way is just too much of an ask.
That being said, here in Philly at the President's House next to the Liberty Bell, the Trump administration removed all references to the slaves that Washington employed. It's heart breaking because we cannot and should not think of the good that Washington did without knowing that his household was built and run on the backs of slaves. It's a disgrace to erase that from history.
"The Park Service has been entirely cut off in every avenue that we have that's meaningful to connect with the public."
Melissa Dalley
Ms. Dalley hit the nail right on the head. In the Trump administration only Trump and Trump approved narratives are allowed to connect with the public. I wonder if MAGA knew that was what they were voting for?

Can someone do this at the Smithsonian? It a big ask, but it would be awesome.
a big ask, so they crowd sourced it!

and, unlike the parks, the smithsonian is a separate organization. so far, they've been able to resist the pressure better:
