European lawmaker uses universal language Trump understands
Diplomacy is overrated when the message is this simple.
During a debate in the European Parliament, Danish MEP Anders Vistisen addressed convicted felon Donald Trump with a clarity not usually employed in international diplomacy.
Vistisen told the Orange Menace to f*** off. While this directly addressed Trump’s repeated insistence that Greenland should, because his ego was bruised, be a part of the United States, Vistisen’s comment can also be applied more broadly.
The direct quote: “Let me put this in words you might understand: Mr. President, f*** off.” was no metaphor. Vistisen skipped hedging language, or concerns about “dialogue,” and instead got to a point that requires no translation.

I've literally just finished watching BBC2's Newsnight where one of the guests was a minister in the Greenlandic government and another was a Republican Congressman who told her - to her face - that Greenland would have to become a protectorate of the United States. As would Alberta. There is no negotiating with people like these.
