Decorating trees with eggs is a springtime tradition that traces back to Germany, where it’s known as Ostereierbaum. Families hang brightly painted eggs, often hollowed-out real shells, on branches or small backyard trees. This is a way to celebrate renewal, fertility, and the arrival of warmer weather.
