DuneCrawl looks like the cutest little post-apocalypse
Yes, okay, the end of days may be a bad thing on paper, but I think we’ve failed to consider the opportunities that could arise from an earth-scouring apocalypse—namely, the possibility that you might get to ride through scorched deserts on a giant armed crab with three of your best friends, raiding and looting to survive.
If that doesn’t sound like a good night out with the boys, I don’t know what does. Fortunately, there’s a solution that doesn’t require nuclear hellfire: new release indie game DuneCrawl, which I’ve already been peer-pressured into playing with my friends.
Playing as one of several adorable, buglike critters, it’s your job to collectively crew your crustacean and bring her to glory and plunder—a bit like Sea of Thieves but with an art style that doesn’t hurt to look at. It’s good fun, but I should mention the caveat that playing solo is painful. If you’re intent on checking it out, make sure you can rope someone else into it—it happened to me!
