Comedian pretends to be ICE; lets racists tell on themselves

Comedian and professional rapscallion Ben Palmer‘s motto is “You Can Be Anything.” Over the years, he’s pretended to be everyone from ChatGPT to Cracker Barrel to poke fun at right-wing outrage, but his latest stunt — pretending to be an ICE agent paranoid conservatives can submit reports to — is actually doing some good.

In his first major outing with this new persona, Palmer comes across a man trying to deport his ex-wife as a form of revenge after she filed a restraining order against him. Can’t imagine why. While the end result is funny, yes, Palmer also takes measures to ensure that the “concerned citizen” won’t be seeking the assistance of the real ICE, potentially saving a woman’s life.

Pranks for social good! If only more creators followed this example.
