Public broadcasting relied on federal funding; and viewer contributions Once that federal funding stopped, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and some of their affiliate stations had to shut down due to lack of funding.
Making money runs everything under the Trump administration. CBS just wants to stay in business and not shut down.
