Bovino takes the fall
After yet another execution style slaying of a citizen observer, the Trump Administration is sending its Third Reich cosplaying ICE Commander back to his old job, with rumors he will soon “resign.”
After weeks of endless escalation in Minnesota, resulting in swathes of his base shaking their heads and even Republican Senators looking at doing something to force a change, the Orange Menace is sending in someone only suspected of wrongdoing to take charge. Replacing Bovino, who, along with ICE Barbie Kristi Noem and the ghoulish Stephen Miller, placed the blame for being shot in the back ten times squarely on the victim, managed to kick the MAGA favorite Second Amendment in the nuts, comes as a Hail Mary to try to shore up his quickly eroding support.
Gregory Bovino has been removed from his role as Border Patrol “commander at large” and will return to his former job in El Centro, California, where he is expected to retire soon, according to a DHS official and two people with knowledge of the change.
Bovino’s sudden demotion is the clearest sign yet that the Trump administration is reconsidering its most aggressive tactics after the killing Saturday of 37-year-old Alex Pretti by Border Patrol agents under Bovino’s command.
…
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and her close adviser Corey Lewandowski, who were Bovino’s biggest backers at DHS, are also at risk of losing their jobs, two of the people told me.
Bovino was called out by a Federal Judge for “outright lying” in court to defend the actions of his brute squad.

prosecution and jail time would sure be nice
here's hoping (against hope) that ice-nazi-bovino is just the first of a long thread pulled into the dumpster.
