Appeal lost: “Trump’s and Habba’s legal arguments were indeed frivolous”
Donald Trump just got a million-dollar reminder that courts aren’t where you publish your fanfiction. A federal appeals court has upheld a whopping fine against Trump and his sometime lawyer, the ethically culpable Alina Habba for filing a lawsuit so frivolous it practically came wearing a clown mask.
“Trump and Habba argue that ‘the case law is unsettled or there was a reasonable request for an extension of the law,’ at least for the tolling argument,” the decision added. “Many of Trump’s and Habba’s legal arguments were indeed frivolous.”
While he was out of office following his 2020 election loss, Trump filed the sprawling racketeering complaint over the Russia investigation that dogged his first term, but the appeals court upheld a lower court ruling that he had committed sanctionable conduct with Habba, who is now interim U.S. attorney in New Jersey.
“Trump leaves all these frivolous claims behind, making a total of 11 of his 16 claims he does not appeal,” the court ruled. “Trump and Habba give us no reason to reverse the district court’s ruling that these claims were frivolous.”
The judges didn’t even need a law degree to see through this mess, just basic literacy. Trump’s 193-page tantrum against Hillary Clinton and anyone who’s ever mentioned “Russia” was tossed out for being legally useless and, frankly, embarrassing. Even Trump bailed on most of it during the appeal, which is saying something for a guy who rarely admits defeat unless it’s followed by a grifting fundraiser.

Well, we know that choosing people because they are good at the job you want them to do is not how the twatwaffle gets his staff.
