Alaska student arrested for eating 57 AI-generated images off gallery wall in protest
Graham David Granger, a 19-year-old freshman at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, was found “ripping artwork off the walls and eating it in a reported protest,” ARTnews reports. He chewed and spit out at least 57 of the 160 AI-generated images in an MFA exhibition titled “Shadow Searching: ChatGPT psychosis (2025)” by fellow student Nick Dwyer.
